Lest I Forget - Order your physical book

There have been a number of requests by people who asked if they can order a physical copy of Catherine's autobiography, "Lest I Forget".  We have put a copy of the book up on Blurb for anyone who would like to order one.  We did not put any mark-up on the book, it is listed at the cost of making the book.

The Catherine Mitchell Memorial Award

Catherine began her teaching career in Calgary in 1957, which continued both in and out of the classroom until 2016. She taught Biology at both St. Mary’s Girls’ High School and St. Francis High School. She retired from teaching in 1991 and immediately returned to St. Francis and devoted herself to collecting and sorting the history of the school, amassing and managing an archival collection to safeguard the school’s noteworthy narrative. Catherine did this on a volunteer basis until the age of 81.

A fixture in Calgary eateries, coffee shops and businesses, Catherine’s professional demeanor coupled with her individual personality won her many friends. She is remembered by her friends and loved ones, and the thousands of students she taught, celebrated and held dear throughout her lifetime.

The influence Catherine had on her students and the teaching community is immeasurable. This impact continues today with the Catherine Mitchell Memorial Award.

Please join us in ensuring that Catherine’s legacy endures through this worthy award.
